Meet The Team

Dr James Fenton grew up in in Winchmore Hill, attending St. Pauls school and Latymer secondary school. He qualified in 2005 with his bachelor’s degree from Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ Dental hospital London, and then went on to practice on the south coast in Hythe Kent for the next 5 years and at a dental practice near Rye in East Sussex. In 2010 he took over what is now The Fenton Dental Studio with his father Dr John Fenton to start a family dental practice. Currently he divides his time between London and Kent where he lives.

Jamie has undertaken numerous courses to develop his skills after qualifying, completing further exams to become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons. He has completed numerous courses in orthodontic, restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry. He treats celebrities at Dr Richards Clinics in Cental London, and works nearer home in East Sussex.

Jamie and his wife Hanna are the proud parents of 3 boys, Bradley , Jasper and Carter. He enjoys reading Science Fiction; good food and wine, and at some point will get back to kite surfing when the kids let him! He loves watching films on Netflix and anything Star Trek, Starwars based.

Favourite Books: Anything by Terry Pratchett, Game of Thrones, nearly all Science fiction books!

Favourite Films: Superman, Toy Story 1/2/3/+

Dr John Fenton grew up in Batley Yorkshire and after passing his O levels moved to London to train at the Royal Dental Hospital Leicester Square where he qualified in 1979. Since then he has owned and run a respected dental practice in Harringay which he has now sold. He is now also enjoying helping to run the dental practice in Winchmore Hill with his son James Fenton.

He has always been interested in all aspects of dentistry, especially in implementing new techniques and education. For ten years he was a dental trainer for the London Deanery which involved taking on young dental graduates and providing them with facilities and mentoring during their first year in practice. In order to do this Dr Fenton undertakes well over the standard G.D.C requirements for further professional education and so is well placed to give patients and dentists the best treatment and advice available. No longer teaching – He is now  currently Chairman for the local dental council for Enfield and Harringay.

John  is now a grandfather with eight grandchildren and four grown up children. In his spare time he enjoys travelling, swimming, and reading.

John  has a special interest in general dentistry, endodontics, minimally invasive dental treatments and dental teaching.

Dr Shan Hamarash is not just a dentist but has also completed a bachelors degree in molecular biology at Queen Mary, University of London. After this she decided that she wanted to become a dentist and therefore went on to study dentistry at UEM in Madrid, Spain.

Shan is very easy to talk to and therefore has a very calming influence on all our patients & helps put them at ease very quickly.
