Dr James Fenton grew up in in Winchmore Hill, attending St. Pauls school and Latymer secondary school. He qualified in 2005 with his bachelor’s degree from Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ Dental hospital London, and then went on to practice on the south coast in Hythe Kent for the next 5 years and at a dental practice near Rye in East Sussex. In 2010 he took over what is now The Fenton Dental Studio with his father Dr John Fenton to start a family dental practice.

Dr Fenton has undertaken numerous courses to develop his skills after qualifying, completing further exams to become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons. He has completed 3 year long certificate courses in restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry with the prestigious Tipton Training academy and many hours of further CPD recommended by the GDC.

Dr Fenton and his wife Hanna are the proud parents of 2 boys, Bradley, born in August 2012 and Jasper, born in February 2014. He enjoys kitesurfing, weight training and reading Science Fiction. He is also a keen BBQ chef and loves trying out new recipes in the kitchen if he has the time!

Dr John Fenton grew up in Batley Yorkshire and after passing his O levels moved to London to train at the Royal Dental Hospital Leicester Square where he qualified in 1979. Since then he has owned and run a respected dental practice in Harringay for the last 20 years, and is now also enjoying helping to run the dental practice in Winchmore Hill with his son James Fenton.

He has always been interested in all aspects of dentistry, especially in implementing new techniques and education. For ten years he was a dental trainer for the London Deanery which involved taking on young dental graduates and providing them with facilities and mentoring during their first year in practice. In order to do this Dr Fenton undertakes well over the standard G.D.C requirements for further professional education and so is well placed to give patients and dentists the best treatment and advice available.

Dr John Fenton is now a grandfather with seven grandchildren and four grown up children. In his spare time he enjoys travelling, swimming, karate and reading.

Dr John Fenton has a special interest in general dentistry, endodontics, minimally invasive dental treatments and dental teaching.


Riya Lallbeeharry – Hygienist and Therapist (GDC : 251062)

Riya qualified from the University of Birmingham with a BSc in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy. She enjoys treating a variety of patients, ranging from anxious children to the very elderly. She likes to adapt her treatment techniques, taking into account specific individual needs. As Riya is dual qualified as a hygienist/therapist, she can carry out the full scope of practice as a hygienist, as well as provide certain fillings and preventative treatments for both adults and children. Riya regularly attends seminars and lectures to help expand her knowledge and keep up to date with the latest techniques to provide her patients with. Outside of work Riya enjoys going to the gym, socialising and of course retail therapy!

Three of her favourite books are: Gone Girl, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and A Thousand Splendid Suns.

Three of her favourite films are: Six Days Seven Nights, Madagascar and Pretty Woman.

Three of her favourite TV shows are: Friends, Say Yes to the Dress and Breaking Bad.


Leanne Jenkins – Dental Nurse (GDC : 252737)

Leanne is a bubbly, smiling member of the dental team and is great at reassuring young children and our older patients too! Leanne started as a trainee dental nurse at the Fenton Dental Studio in 2011. After completing her apprenticeship NVQ level 3 in Dental Nursing she qualified as a dental nurse in 2012. She works part time and looks after her lovely daughter Ava the rest of the week. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, socialising, long walks and playing in the park with Ava.



Cristina Alexe – Dental Nurse (GDC: 272836)

Cristina has recently completed her training to become a fully qualified dental nurse. She is a dedicated member of the team helping staff and patients throughout the day. In her spare time she like to spend time with her family and 2 young boys. She is also studying child counselling to further her education. She enjoys cooking and will often bring in cakes and food left over from weekend gatherings. We are all well fed!
